Tax Cuts Do Not Increase Revenue, Part Eleventy Kajillion
Nobody actually believe this, but Republicans sometimes pretend to.
The evidence of the past 45 years is that income tax cuts never pay for themselves. Everybody knows this, but Republicans pretend to believe otherwise, especially when backed into a corner. The latest person to adopt this pose is Stephen Miran, chair of Donald Trump’s Council of Economic Advisers and pictured above.
