I’ve delayed sending out a Backbencher notice advertising my New Republic piece this week saying I prefer Bidenomics to Kamalomics. Yes, yes, I know, Trump’s idiotic economic plan is infinitely worse than either, prompting me to quote the British playwright Alan Bennett on the subject of bottled water. (You’ll have to read the piece to understand the analogy.) I spent several paragraphs explaining how and why Trump’s economic plan is very very bad before delving into Kamalomics and its (mild) discontents. You can read the piece here. I hope you still like me when you’re done.
I also posted, on Tuesday before the debate, a New Republic piece explaining what Harris should say about the dockworkers’ strike along the Eastern Seaboard and the Gulf Coast. I’m pleased to report that she got it right when she broke her silence on this subject today. I doubt my piece had anything to do with it, but you can read it here.
Excellent piece!
Thank you so much ❗️
