I was very sorry on September 28 to miss a tribute to the writer and activist Barbara Ehrenreich at the Brooklyn Public Library’s Center for Brooklyn History. Bernie Sanders, Cornel West, Jia Tolentino, Frances Fox Piven, Matthew Desmond, Tom Lewandowski, Alissa Quart, Janet McIntosh, and Rev. Billy and the Stop Shopping Choir (“the collar is fake, the calling is real”) joined Barbara’s children, Rosa Brooks and Ben Ehrenreich, to pay tribute to a life well-lived. This is worth your time.
